Working in UAE without a degree

Hi,

I'm currently on my husbands visa and working in his office doing some admin. However my background is financial services / insurance. I have almost 15 years experience in Ireland and numerous diplomas in this field.

I'm wondering however, when I try to get back into my "field of expertise", will the fact that I don't have a degree stop me from getting a good job?

It seems to be a huge deal over here, not like in Ireland, where experience and how good you are at job is what counts.

I've met so many people with degrees but nowhere near as competent as me (makes me sound like i'm tooting my own horn, but you know what I mean ;)

I'm starting to get worried that all those years of working and building up a career in Ireland and sitting different exams are not going to count for anything at all in UAE...? :(

Any advice would be appreciated
