Hi Kasey, I just moved to Al Ain a few days ago. My husband got a job here and it looks like we will be here at least 2 years. I haven't checked out any of the ladies coffee dates, but will probably try to join one this week. I don't have kids, but I'd love to get together some time. I've been doing lots of exploring solo since my husband works long hours. By the way, I'm from Alaska originally. I am a member at the Palms Golf Resort too. Hi Kasey, If you want to meet other expats and like sports then all the hotels have gyms and exercise classes going on (Rotana, Hilton, Danat) as well as the facilities down at Palm Sports Resort (Rugby Club, Golf Club, Equestrian Club, Shooting Club). You can see a summary of things as well as other stuff going on (e.g. Boot Camp) here: http://www.alainexpat.com/home.html There are coffee mornings on Tuesdays at both Al Ain Mall and Al Jimi Mall again which are listed on the site above. Hello my name is Kasey! I am a Canadian and I am moving to Al Ain in a month! I have already lived there last year but we are moving back. I have 3 children...aged 9, 4 and 2....I live in the Zakher area this is where we have our home. I am Canadian but my husband is an Emirati, so that is what brings me there! Would love to meet other expats! People I have stuff in common with. I love fitness and stuff so anyone with info on great places there for step classes, kick boxing, spinning classes, ZUMBA classes (all womens of course) or moms who just liek to get together over coffee or play dates with kids! :) I am looking forward to meeting you guys....
