We visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque yesterday. We went in the evening and what a fantastic sight the Mosque is when it is all lit up against the night sky. If you have visitors coming in this is one place where you should take them. They will be awed by the sheer grandness of the building.
Female guests are given an abaya with a hood to wear and you have to remove your shoes before entering the Mosque. The carpet inside is the biggest hand woven carpet in the world. This is a place of prayer and faithful observation so please do wear respectful clothing when visiting the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
