The new affordable price is effective immediately

Great news to all in the capital, the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha) announced on their social media that they have cut down the price of COVID-19 swab tests in the UAE. It's now at just AED 85 per test at all Seha testing centres across the UAE, which also includes Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.

Since September, the price for Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests in the UAE have been significantly dropping from its initial cost of AED 370 per person to encourage more proactive testing among residents and visitors.

The official tweet, sent out on Saturday night, read: "We have reduced the price of the PCR nose swab test effective immediately across all SEHA testing centers."

The capital has also made several updates to its rules regarding entering the border, which requires a negative PCR or DPI test for entry, as well as further testing on the fourth and eighth day of your stay in Abu Dhabi.

According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the updates were made "to enhance preventative measures for the early detection of COVID-19..."

UAE health officials reports 1,153 new Covid-19 cases, 634 further recoveries, three confirmed deaths.

The total number of Coronavirus cases in the country is now at 176,429, out of which 159,132 successfully recovered.

There are 592 total deaths and 16,705 active cases.
