thank you ladies - Mine is also in the front so I am really worried about it as - when it happens, it will be an emergency situation AND of course I am worried about the quality of the work. Thank you again so much for easing this worry!

I also give Dr. Fady 2 thumbs up. Very professional, great bedside manor and is very good with the esthetics of his work.

If its a root canal you are looking for then I would strongly recommend Dr Fady at the British International Dental Center (44117755 ) . I needed to have one done and it was virtually painless . The clinic was quite impressive too .

I wish! Alas no, but honestly, he's really good - I didn't even feel the needle when he injected my gums! (if you're really desperate I can recommend a dentist in NZ who is great with sedation)! :p

I have the biggest dentist phobia!! I cry like a child before they even touch me & I normally have any dental work done with sedation at home! I had a cavity & a cap came off one of my front teeth a couple of months ago, so I desperately needed to go to a dentist in Doha (going home was not an option, although I did consider it)! I read everyone's recommendations & decided to go to Dr Eric Chavaux (thank you Lulu Baker for the info)!! He is AMAZING!!!! He is calm, professional & did an amazing job - no pain at all! I could not speak higher of him!! Dr Eric Chavaux, Salam Tower, 4th Floor (the white HSBC building acroos the road from the Sheraton roundabout), tel: 444 79 817

any more info on dentists?? I may need a root canal and a crown soon so I am not sure if I can feel comfortable getting this done here...I do not have insurance but as it is a front tooth, I will have to pay whatever to get it done right the first time. I have super dentist anxiety also! edited by ccdoha on 04/09/2011

Anyone know of a dentist that will knock me out, do all the work and then wake me up?? That's the only way I'm getting in that chair;)

The Dental Hygienist at Family Dental Clinic is excellent - I think she actually used to be a dentist in the Phillipines (so my husband told me) and she always just does a really good check for me while she's cleaning my teeth.

My DH went to a dental hygenist at Al Ahli, cost us QR800 & he said it was rubbish, only got half the cleaning he used to get at our previous dentist in Dubai. Think I might cancel my appointment then!! DC

Has anyone tried the dental centre at Al Ahil Hospital? Worried they might 'create' issued to make money off my insurance! DC
