On Tuesday, news of a world record broken in Kuwait made residents of the country proud.
What might have started as a rivalry between two giant car brands, Chevrolet and Ford, brought about a very impressive broken record.
The largest banner flown by a vehicle was a title previously held by Ford, up until yesterday.
Chevrolet managed to break the Guinness World Record by flying the flag of Kuwait in the desert on Tuesday – the flag came in at 4,690 feet squared in height and 118 inches squared in width.
The Kuwaiti flag flew over 100 metres without touching the ground…officially breaking the world record.
Not Chevrolet’s first rodeo
In September of 2016, Chevrolet originally had the world title for largest banner flown, until Ford flew a larger one two months after that.
But as 2018 comes to an end, Chevrolet took the title back home from Ford.
