Here's how you can pay or find out if you have a traffic violation
The Kuwait Government have an online service whereby residents and visitors can inquire about or pay a fine for their traffic violation.

Their service allows citizens and residents to pay such traffic fines online with ease, as well as any immigration and travel fines - visa, residence and data transfer - by entering the required data.

Traffic fines vary in severity, going up to KD500 and a maximum of one year in prison. Some common ones are:

  • Careless driving, speeding and driving a vehicle without a driver’s licence – Fine of not more than KD100 and imprisonment of not more than 3 months.
  • Not following traffic signs, driving without a valid insurance document or changing the vehicle’s colour without prior approval from the traffic department – Fine of not more than KD25 and imprisonment of not more than 15 days.
  • Driving less than the minimum speed, leaving animals without guard and not fasting seatbelts – Fine of not more than KD15 and no imprisonment.
