Lots of people I have spoken to over the years say Al Ain is a great place to have a young family. I now find with my DD that I have to agree ;) We've made lots of friends and find plenty to keep ourselves entertained.

Hi elephantrjm, There is a family playgroup called Al Ain Mums and Tots which is currently held at Sunflower Nursery every Thursday 9 -11am. In addition other things go on which is organised via a googlegroup forum. The group is made of up of mums and dads from all continents with little ones ranging from newborn upwards. To join the forum and be able to contact Al Ain based mums directly send an e-mail to alain [dot'> mumsandtots [at'> gmail [dot'> com Once you've signed up to the forum you can post away and organise playdates with other mums. They're an incredibly friendly bunch full of useful information!
