Hi ladies,

If anyone has been through the process lately, can you tell me how long it takes between getting your fingerprints done to your RP being put into your passport?

I understand that these things are fluid and might be dependent on the company, but any general time frames would he appreciated.

Yes, that's right. I've been here 7 months and I'm just getting my RP now. Sigh.

Thanks for the tip nole, that's good to know that it's an option for some people. However, my company has my passport, and I have no spouse. Not sure if this would still be an option for me then even if I did have my passport.

katcalls, do you have your passport on hand? if so, you can just take it to the main post office along the corniche and have them print it in there for you. I think you just need some sort of piece of paper from your husband's work...cant remember exactly what I had, but it took about 5 mins to get it once I was there.

Thanks ladies. Looks like it's variable depending on the company. I did my fingerprints on Thur AM. I'll maybe give them another day or so before I start harassing them! Cheers!

I got my RP within 24 hours of fingerprinting, but then DH's company are very efficient and the whole process took less than 2 weeks start to finish.
