So finally got to see Dr Muhi after the wait - thanks everyone for the recommendations, he seems knowledgeable and nice - and he confirmed what I thought - deviated nasal septum, which needs to be operated on.

So wondering if anyone here or their family have had surgery with him and their thoughts? Was he ok? Was the recovery ok? Was the New Al Noor (near Sheikh Zayed mosque) ok for a hospital stay? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks for your comments Julieanne - good to hear that your husband was happy with him and it all went well. It's just a bit more reassuring to know that people have had successful surgeries with him to confirm all the good things I have heard. Come and join BB2 and I for coffee next week or the week after (date to be set) - haven't had coffe with her since the first time we met although have run into each other a few times at the mall.

Good to hear BB2. I am glad it is at the new Al Noor, wouldn't dream of letting them operate on me at the cattle market that is Khalfia St Al Noor. I should hopefully be breathing again properly very soon. :) i had wisdom teeth taken out at the old al noor many moons ago, it was all really good inside...... Sorry BB2, had too many bad experiences there to convince me otherwise. As for meeting up, yes, we are due for a coffee. Have to head out to Toyota Airport Rd next week to get the car serviced. Fancy meeting at Costa Carrefour for coffee again? yep kids on hols sun/mon next though. they need it after all the exams this week and last.

yeh told you worth the wait, saw him at school the other day. i know loads who have had surgery with him and they cant praise him enough no problems at all. he used to use the old al noor but when the new one opened he shifted, have been there a few times perfectly fine (not inpatient though) you should be fine.
