One month tourist entry visa

I wonder if anyone came help me with a visa question. My son came into Doha on a one month visa on 24 March. The passport stamp has 'one month' written beside it. He is leaving on 24 April, so the question is: does the one month include the 24 April, or does the visa expire at midnight on 23 April?

I do hope someone knows the answer; DH is away at the moment so won't be able to ask at the office until next week.

I've just been and successfully renewed my son's visa - thanks for all your help. I went to the office behind the long term parking at the Departures Terminal. We got there at 2.15pm and there was no queue at all - I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The driver said early afternoon is the best time to go because it's always quiet like it was today. He said it's very busy in the mornings with companies going in and then again late afternoon. I hope that helps anyone that needs to go.

FYI, there is an immigration office at Wholesale Market Street (across Al Jazeera)… You don't have to go all the way towards airport if you live around Villagio-Abu Hamour-Salwa etc areas ! We have renewed couple of different visas there ! Bad with directions, but its called 'Traffic and Patrol Department' in google maps…

This doesn't require a sponsor if its an extension of a tourist visa for someone who was eligible for visa on arrival in the first place. One month is given at the airport and then you can get a one month extension at the airport immigration branch (the building by the long term parking near the departures airport).

Thank you everyone - that's really helpful. I'll trundle down there tomorrow and get it sorted.

Hello When i was on a visitors visa when i first arrived (12 months ago) i used to go to a building next to the Airport (white building) sorry dont know the name(someone else might) and went to the counter gave them my passport and credit card (wont accept cash) and they extended it for 30 days for 100 qr. If you have to do it as a lady you can go straight to the front of the que, i was hesitant to as there were about 30 men in the que but they happily waved me to the front and i was done is 5 mins flat. HTH.

I think that you can do it, but am not 100% sure - my DH usually does it as he works near the airport so it's easy for him to drop in. Just pop along to the visa counter at the airport and ask.

Thank you! Sorry to be thick, but how do I renew it? Does it have to be DH that does it (bc he's the main man on the residency) or can I do it as a regular RP holder?

Another Doha thing - they don't mean one month (although that's what they write) - they mean 30 days. That includes the day he arrived as well as the day that he leaves. And there are 31 days in March, so he needs to renew it on 22 April. It is renewable at a low cost (I think 100, but my DH does it for us so I'm not 100% sure), or else you would have to pay 200 per day fine for overstay - so 400 fine would be charged.
