We just found out we will be moving to Doha in about 5wks time. I have already secured school for my children at Compass Al Rayyan Campus, and therefore I am looking for a compound that is not too far from there (and a bonus would be that it is not to far from City Centre mall where my dh will be working).
I am looking for a compound with really good facilities, including pool, gym, playground, shops and restaurant and hopefully our own pool and small yard area for the kids to run around. Also, need a maids room and prefer one that enters and exits from the outside of the villa somewhere (not even sure they have this option there...).
I have heard of the Alfardan ones that sound nice, but would love to find one that was just as nice but slightly closer to my dh's work...

Any advice?

I would check out Al Jazi Village 2. It is located in Al Gharafa. We looked at the five bedroom villas but they have more space than we needed. I am pretty sure the villa had a separate maid's room with outside entrance. Some of the six bedroom villas have their own pool. I currently live in another Al Jazi property nearby and many of my neighbors send their children to Compass. This is a new compound and I would just call the office and see if anything is available. 974 44838786. Al Jazi Village 1 is also a nice option with four bed villas. http://www.alfaisalholding.com/divisions/property/al-jazi-real-estate-investment-company.aspx

I thought I knew street names pretty well, but I haven't got a clue where these are. :\: It's behind Granada Souk and near to Al Rayyan driving school . Al Jazira Al Arabiya links the expressway with the road that Al Jeezra , new fire station & Al Ahli is on. We are in Al Messiah and it takes my DH 10 minutes to CC but this new compound is closer but on same route . Villas look to be big and about to be ... orange .

it's on Al Nahdha Street - off Al Jazira Al Arabiya St . Been under construction for months - some villas are now being painted so can't be far off . edited by BEDH on 12/07/2012

BEDH, where exactly is Al Fardan 6? Didn't know it was in the works.

Alfardan 6 is new, possibly be finished in your time frame and is minutes from city centre .

sorry forgot those details! We would like a 4-5 bedroom villa and price isn't a huge issue as I believe we have a generous budget

How many bedrooms and what size villa? That will help folks to make some suggestions.
