My husband and I live in Abu Dhabi and we have a 2 yr old dog who loves nothing more than a run around. Trouble we are having is that we are aware that dogs are banned from beaches and parks.
Does anyone know if there is a specific area where dogs are allowed? Unlike most other dog owners here that Ive noticed we actually clean up after our dog.
Anyone got any suggestions?

There are places closer in. If you go to between the bridges, as you cross the bridge taking you to Mangrove Village / Seashore, you will see a lovely long inlet of water. Boats are parked on one side, and the other side has rough bushes and sand - perfect for dogs and not popular with picknickers. Drive around until you find your spot. There is also a beach on the other side of the water from the ShangriLa Hotel - as you drive over Mussafa bridge onto the Island, look to your right and you will see it on the left bank. Again, just drive around in that area till you find the access. There was also the "dog beach" opposite the leaning tower, but I don't know if that's been built up yet, as it was planned.... off 19th al bateen beach, lots of dogs walking in heli park off 24th and 15th also up at al bahia and the beach opp capital gate, but most of that is fenced off now for development but a little bit still exists. also people go onto saadiyat now too. there are no specific areas for dogs.

Lots of people recommended me to go to the Yas beach (will be on your left side if you drive from AD to Dubai), its before you reach Ikea , Ferrari world.
