Hi all. My husband has got the keys today, to an apartment on Al Reem and this is the first time he has lived out of England. We have visited AD several times......actually staying in Dubai.......and we like the feel of it.
However, is there anywhere you can swim without security and lifeguards CONSTANTLY blowing whistles and staring at your every move? I understand why they are here, but the beaches youpay for in Dubai are so more relaxed and allow people to have fun!!
I know I don't want to swim here, and am certain we will never get our teenage children to visit.
I am not a moaner......but each time we come, we have really noticed this happening.....even small children with their parents are 'told off'......never known anything like it!! :-/

Thank you for that; back to taking family to have fun and swimming in the good old, freezing North sea then!
