Has anyone rented att Al Fardan Towers, West Bay? property to show me tomorrow morning (Thursday the 20th) , and it is at Al Fardan Towers, in West Bay- a f/f 2 bedroom apartment. Has anyone had any experience renting at this building?
I also have a viewing at MerZam Residence, in Bin Mahmoud South -a 3 bed f/f. Any information would be helpful.
Can rents be negotiated any eg ask for cleaning services or a months free rent if signing on for a 1 or 2 yr lease?
Thanks ladies

Yes, I am in Al Fardan in West Bay,. You did mention in an earlier thread that you were in Bin Mahmoud and I didn't catch that. I didn't know there were any buildings over in that area by the same company. We almost ended up in Bin Mahmoud across from the Mega Mart but decided to take the west Bay unit instead. If you still want to meet Northernstar it will just take some planning .

Hoping not to add unnecessary confusion, but I think you two (parkclark and northernstar) are in 2 different locations. Northernstar mentioned that she's in an Al Fardan buidling in Bin Mahmoud, and it sounds like parkclark has just rented a place in the Al Fardan Tower in the West Bay.

Northernstar, I am not sure what the tower name is but we are in the tower immediately next to the bank and behind the BMW dealership. We are moving into #234 on the 23rd Fl. on the 27th sometime. Hope your Christmas Day was good, ours was quiet, and different, but we look forward to next year when we won't be in transit. Will let you know when we have arrived . Cheers!

Hi Northernstar, I really appreciate the info. We really liked the unit, a 2 bedroom as well. Lots of space. It is good to know about the traffic not being an issue. Even the agent said that my hubby would be travelling against the traffic going to and from Education City. How long have you lived there? We should find out in the next day or so when we can move in. Perhaps once we get there, you and I could meet for a coffee. I see you are also working, so it can be a time that is convenient to your schedule since I am not working.

We are in an Alfardan building in Bin Mahmood, the finish is good and furnishing of a high standard. They are very good with response time to issues very good. Not that we have had many. The traffic isnt a problem I work down Salwa rd and DH at Hamad. Being out of West Bay we have a huge 2 bed, with good kitcehn and laundry room for 10000. Good luck with your hunt,

Hi, thanks for your assistance ladies, Saw a couple of places today . Decision making time and number crunching now. Al Fardan tower apartments have different prices depending on the floor on which the unit is on. I think 2 bed F/F ranges from 15,000 - 17,000 and 3 beds F/F 16,250 + . Agent mentioned there may be something coming up in Jan and June, but not sure if it is a 2 or 3 bed and what floor.

Parkclark - Just inquisitive. What rent did they quote for 2 bed F/F? Were you able to negotiate anything? DH will be coming there soon so want to give him a few tips. :)

I live across the road from Al Fardan Towers, and while I don't drive to Education City daily, when I do it is generally 20-30 minutes. Bin Mahmood is a bit closer, but quite a congested area so probably would take you close to the same. I have friends in Al Fardan Towers who are extremely happy there. Excellent standard of finish and furnishing. Kitchen isn't huge but very well equipped. Loads of light. To me the only real negative is the fact that the windows don't open, which is the case if a few different towers. But plenty of people don't mind that.

I live in the Pearl and work in Education City. Normally takes me approximately 30 minutes to get to work but can take as much as 45 minutes if the traffic is heavy. Please note I am a very conservative (I.e. slow!!) driver so you may be able to shave a few minutes of those times. edited by Jonners on 19/12/2012
