I know this is relative to what you send but I have no idea on what to budget for this side of things and wondered what people went for...

Did you use a service you would recommend?

There are so many optopns online and no quotes shown (they all seem to want you to call them to get a price and with 3 kids and packing up a house and applying for schools as well as many more things I just dont know where to start!)

All help on this matter very much appreciated!

Hey All We just arrived in Doha 3 weeks ago and we also used Dynamic International!! If you need a contact number for then we can give you the contact details for them. We are expecting the container to arrive end of the month. I can let you know how it all goes. In regards to the whole packing etc, 3 guys came and looked around and everyone split work and started packing everything quite quickly. They cane around 8am and were out by 12!!! We have shipped half a container as no furniture Sorry pressed enter by mistake lol! It cost us under £2500 and we have paid for a door to door service. Will let you know how the unpacking and customs goes at this end. In the mean time if you need their contact details I can send you the guys name and number who dealt with ours. Don't stress.. You will get there in the end! Good luck with everything :)

Hi there, I would recommend - http://www.dynamic-freight-shipping.co.uk DH and I have been dealing with them for a number of months and they have been brilliant, my shipment is about to set sail from the UK. They came recommended to me by someone who had used them for relocation to Doha and was given the name and email address of one of their agents and he has been absolutely fab and responds very quickly to every query. If your interested, let me know your email so I can provide you with the contact number, name and email of the person I've been dealing with. Good luck!!

Hello as yet we have not decided who to use...this is driving me mad!! But my DH is coming over in half term and we are going to decide what to store/ ship. He has forgotten whilst being away just how much " stuff' we have!!! We moved into a villa over Easter hols and went to Ikea and bought quite a bit of furniture which suits villa so gives me a better idea of what to bring. Should hopefully have a clearer answer for you at the end of May. Are you any clearer on who to use? This is my first move abroad so I am worrying about everything , it is all becoming real now which is scary.

Yes I have had two quotes. I have been quoted as needing a 20ft container which will be about 80 per full. Both quotes have now come in around the £3800 mark door to door companies which have quoted are Simpsons and Crown. GB liners come next week. If anyone knows of any cheaper options please let me know. I live in Northamptonshire. WHO DID YOU GO WITH IN THE END IMMB2012? We leave in 12 weeks and they all seem so similar I wondered if you recommend anyone?!

Sorry meant to say I have packed quite a bit myself e.g things such as Christmas decorations and photograph albums etc things I know I will not need, however I have been told by one of the companies that they would have to re pack due to customs etc. Both quotes have come as a result of having someone come round and chat through the process and look at the volume of goods.
