I have been hearing through the infamous "rumour wagon" that Abu Dhabi visa fees have increased to something much higher than 2013. Will someone who has ACTUALLY done this recently this year, please share your Visa fee experience? I truly appreciate your time and personal experience.

Hello, Just to well understand: if we pay our maid 2000 AED/month, we need to pay 2000*12 = 24000 AED / year (so an extra 2000 AED/month) to immigration. And so that is without considering the normal visa fees we will have to continue to pay anyway. It is crazy: it is doubling the salary we have to pay isn't it? What people will do is probably to decrease maid's salary, no? Lucile

Will someone who has ACTUALLY done this recently this year, please share your Visa fee experience? I truly appreciate your time and personal experience. Thank you. this is not a new rule... you have had to pay immigration 12 times salary so people would have 2 contracts salary for immigration and real salary which would be higher.. now a lot of countries have a minimum salary so thats what you need toput down on your immigration contract so then the fees will be higher. but as usual one day you will be charged teh lower or the higher rates luck of the draw etc.
