we may be moving from Qatar to abu dhabi. which primary schools would you recommend? we currently go t a lovely primary school, DESS, in Doha which I cannot fault and the children love, so I am looking for something similar. Where they are now they do a lot of active learning, learning through activities/play/etc which they are getting on very well with.

they also really enjoy the style of the school which has a lot of outdoor space/play areas. I hope this is something I can find in abu dhabi?

which are the not for profit schools?

thanks for your help!

We've been looking at good schools in Abu Dhabi too. They were recently 'graded' for the first time by a government agency and sadly, none received the highest rating (outstanding). There are about half a dozen that meet the second rating (very good). All are listed here:http://whichschooladvisor.com/guides/best-schools-in-abu-dhabi-school-ratings/ can i just explain the ways that it all works here regarding the above comments on no sch getting top ratings.... this is due purely to the arabic teaching, hence why they are not given a grade, the teachers are provided by adec and not provided by the school so they are not necessarily uk trained staff and hence why they are not compiling with the adec rulings at the moment. all the schs that got the second rating are outstanding schools so dont be fooled by any of the information if you dont understand why and how the system works over here, its very very different from the uk etc in that respect.
