There might be a few questions coming up from me! Trying to juggle what we need to do when for upcoming move.
We're moving in January (from Qatar) and will be bringing our current (Filipina) maid with us. I'm getting contradictory information online about what the costs are - do we need to put down a year's salary up front or has that changed?
Is there any qualification period until you can sponsor a maid? Do the family need to have their RPs or just my husband?
Any issues with her coming in on a tourist visa and then transferring to a maid's visa once we have RPs? I think she gets round the current Filipina issues because she works for us already but I'd prefer not to take the risk of sending her home for a month just in case.
Finally, are maids allowed driving licences? She has a Qatari licence. I know she will need to do the test rather than automatically converting but wanted to check she'd be allowed to.
