Hello, I'm new in AD and looking for a job. Couldn't find an appropriate thread so starting a new one - sorry for repeating the subject.

I have now my educational certificates leaglised in countries of issue. I understand that now I need to take them straight to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for attestation, which directs me to some centre in Marina Mall - is that right?

Do you know if the leaglised documents need to be translated into Arabic prior to final attestation by MFA UAE?

Thank you

HI Katie, No. They are fine in English. Your labor contract will have to be in English with an Arabic version. (The Arabic version is the binding one. Make sure it has the same terms and conditions!) The most important thing is that your educational degrees (teaching qualification, if needed) are authenticated in your home country and also by the UAE (who attest the embassy of your country). Once that is done, you are fine. Please make sure your degrees were not obtained online as this is now rejected for teaching (look at your transcripts). Your employer will have to get them reviewed by KHDA and after an approval they will submit to the MOL for your work visa. Good luck on the job hunt!
