Hi all,

We are planning to move to Abu Dhabi by the next school year (2018-2019). My son is currently in KG2 in an IB school and daughter would be starting FS1 in the new academic year. Could you all please recommend some good school preferably IB, American or Canadian with a decent fee range (not over 45-50K) around the city, Also, how are the schools situation in terms of admissions in AUH? Are we too late to apply now or by when should we apply? Do schools allow tours? Would really appreciate any and all suggestions. Thank you!

Hi, We changed our mind about moving to Abu Dhabi because of several reasons: 1. we couldn’t find a school for our kids. Maybe we were too late in looking out for a school. I would suggest you start sending in application as early as sept for the following year. 2. We want to find a place close to school to not have the kids commute a lot and coming from Dubai we were not convienced with the options in Abu Dhabi. 3. There’s a difference in cut off dates in schools in Abu Dhabi vs dubai and this would land my little one a year back. Although this wasn’t so much of a worry but something we considered for this year. Although we didn’t move this year but we could very much think about it next academic year. Hope this helps.

Hi samiksha I am currently in looking for good IB schools in Abu Dhabi. I have heard of Raha International, but it is at full capacity at the moment. Canadian International School is at full capacity as well. I am currently looking for reviews on Australian School of Abu Dhabi.
