The UAE has established a network of Covid-19 testing facilities in Abu Dhabi, as well as drive-through coronavirus testing services.
Should you find yourself experiencing mild symptoms or have been in contact with someone with the virus, it’s best to get tested as quickly as possible for your own health and peace of mind.

If you are a recent traveller within the last two weeks, or you have been in close proximity with someone who has recently travelled outside of the UAE in the last 14 days.

Drive-through Covid-19 tests in Abu Dhabi
Drive-through tests for residents who do not wish to leave their vehicle are also available. Appointments are still required before going there.

Cost of the coronavirus test in Abu Dhabi
The cost for a Covid-19 test in Abu Dhabi varies depending on your insurance coverage, so we recommend that you are up to date with your health plan.

Without insurance, the price of a coronavirus test can cost up to AED 370 per patient.
Documents to bring for your Covid-19 testing appointment
Carry the following documents with you for your coronavirus screening appointment:
- Passport copy
- Visa copy
- Original Emirates ID
- Tenancy contract
- Recent passport photograph
- Medical Insurance card
- Health card or family card (for UAE Nationals only)
What happens if I’m positive for coronavirus?
An ambulance and health officials will be sent to your immediate family members or whoever you live with in Abu Dhabi so that they can get tested for symptoms.
If they have any symptoms, they will be tested for the virus as well and must stay in an isolation facility. If there are no symptoms, they can go home but are required to self-isolate for 14 days.
At the moment, there is no vaccine for Covid-19. The type of recovery treatment also varies per patient, depending on your symptoms and health status.
