Good morning ladies
Another newbie question: do any of you ladies have contact numbers for home delivery of gas bottles and also for someone who delivers the large bottles of water that fit in water dispensers?
Thank you.

You can try Mustaf for gas - 55246542 although be warned that his english is pretty bad. I know that he delivers around the Villagio area (if you can explaing to him where you are...we moved and I can't get him to understand to come to the new place despite the fact that we live in a very well known compound on Al Waab Street! :/).

I use Safa for water 44606699 If you call the sales rep will come to your house and give you the starter bottles and sell you a coupon book the more coupons you buy, the cheaper each bottle is I bought a booklet for 175 so the bottles come out to 8 QR each they deliver once a week and you just leave the empties outside as the other poster said Once I forgot to leave the empties and I called them and they sent someone out same day edited by ccdoha on 13/06/2011

We now just buy our gas from the petrol station as these new cannisters are so much lighter to lift and carry. You pay for the inital bottle then a top of for the large bottle is 15QR and the small on 8QR!

Also a lot of the smaller supermarkets will deliver the water bottles on call. I don't use a set delivery service - just call my local little corner market whenever we are running low.

Welcome to Doha !! I can't help re the gas bottles, but if you are in a compound just ask the srcurity guards and they will point you in the right direction. I get my water delivered by Nestle, phone no is : 44503332. They deliver on a set day each week , depending on where you live, and you buy a book of coupons 200 qr for 20, which I leave out with the empty bottles. Darina xx
