Dear Angela Thanks again for replying I saw Mr Kharma last night. He is brilliant...Like most of you said he is a very good communicator and very clinically capable, I only needed a clean and a filling and never felt a thing. After a long discussion about life back in the UK, I realized that he used to be my best friends nextdoor neighbour back in England, what a small world!
Hello there..Mr Kharma works at Sharq Dental Center.. its in the new Salata area in Doha..just off the D ring on a service road with plenty of parking space..about a 5 minute drive from the mall. Good luck!
A friend who works at Qatar Foundation has been singing this guys praises..but he doesnt drive so he couldnt give me the exact location of the dentists practice...Could someone please tell me where Mr Nizar Kharma is based..Thanks
Since I live near New Salata area I thought I would listen to your advice and visit Mr Nizar Kharma at Sharq Dental. My main motive was the free-check ups he does as I read somewhere so I thought I wasnt going to loose anything if I try having the check-up! He took his time and did everything realy well..he then told me what I needed and gave me a quote. Surprisingly he doesnt charge for check-up x rays either. The total price for what I needed (a cosmetic top quality crown and a big filling I knew i needed and a clean)was only 2000 Riyals. I dont have dental insurance so that was a bargain for sure. I had the treatment completely finished last night and I will definately go back with my family for our next check-up
Hiya...am glad to know Mr Kharma has got a fan base here in Doha..
I was his patient for 5 years back in rainy Lancashire and was a very happy customer!
I moved to Doha 3 year ago and recently heard the good news that He was now in Doha..hes just very good, polite and professional. Just over a month ago he pulled me painful tooth out and did other beautiful white fillings n a canal root..excellent service.
Without sounding rude, I d personally advise you to see a Western qualified AND experienced dentist, as they tend to be more professional and with better communication skills. Based on that, I d say go for Mr Kharma or the other Gent the lady before me recommended.
Maybe you could try the British Dental Centre in Salam Tower on the Corniche (44117755). I've had complex work done there by Dr al Ansari and I've also seen his senior partner, sorry I forget his name, but the senior gent is an oral surgeon.
Would second this, myself and several colleagues at work use Dr Amjad Ansari at British Internation Dental Centre in Salam Tower. He's fully British educated and a really nice bloke and top quality dentist. You should see the stunning views of the corniche from his surgery! I'd book early though as he is really busy.

Dr Nazir Kharma is your best bet..Hes British, with 100% British qualifications and something like 10 years experience in the UK.
He removed both my lower impacted wisdom teeth and he was gentle, experienced and caring. He went through all the treatment options, including pros and cons and the likelihood of complications etc...in other words I felt respected and involved as a patient cos I knew all the treatment details. He also did a few veneers on my hubbys not very attractive teeth and now he looks amazing!
I would strongly recommend him..luckily i have his number saved in my husband's mobile its 33527630..good luck!

They will refer you to their Salwa Rd branch where the oral surgeon is. The difference in building quality between the two branches is crazy.. I don't like the Salwa Rd one.. def needs to be updated in comparison! That is why I'm putting off getting mine pulled. I just don't want to go there..

I booked to have mine removed then found out I was pregnant, so just put it off.
I ended up having one extracted at 8 months pregnant without anesthetic as it was bothering me so much. I was told by my OBGYN that I couldnt use any pain relief, and it was no where near as bad as I was expecting.
It was done at Dr Michaels although I can't remember the cost.
I had a consultation first and ct scan which was 1,000 dhs and then 7000 for four to be extracted. This was just dr.steens fees, the anaesthetic was direct billing through medcare
Hi I had all four out under general about a month ago. Professor Steen was recommended to me by the dental studio, and I had the procedure done at medcare. It wasn't cheap but glad I have had it done now. Dr.steen is based at sameday dental clinic in healthcare city
Just wondering if anyone has had their wisdom teeth extracted under general anesthetic in hospital. My search came up with no results. Could anyone recommend a good oral surgeon and any idea of costs involved.
Thanks
