Ciao,
I'm an Italian woman coming to Abu dhabi in june. As many of you, following my husband.
I know that He has to pass a medical examination for the approval of visa. Can anyone tell me about what they will ask? In what it consist? And when I will join him, I have to pass the medical examination to?
Sorry for my english, I really hope that living in Abu Dhabi will help me finally to learn how to write, at least!

be aware though they are changing the medical exam now, that you have to do the medical exam in your own country and then you will have to do it again once here! this is suppose is that to stop anyone actually stepping foot here with tb or anything like that.

We also moved here from Italy, and find it fantastic living here. There is italian party in Ferrari World on the 2nd of June, all italians are invited (I think) so you can come to meet people. Take care!

Be prepared to wait awhile (very common at all agencies) or you can also pay more money to expedite the process. For the medical exam you have to also have an eye scan. Nothing major for the medical exam.

Thank you so much! I'm not pregnant, unfortunately... And do you know if they ask for a cardiology visit? also for him? I really would like to come prepared to live in Abu dhabi, I'm asking to everybody how is living there, I really think that will be a great opportunity for my husband, but I'm a little confused about what I will do. Anyway I'll thake the risk... Is a new adventure! You have been so nice! no they dont ask for anything else. they do bloods for hiv/tb etc and chest xray. i am sure that you will find stuff to do.

Sorry for my english, I really hope that living in Abu Dhabi will help me finally to learn how to write, at least! usually you see a doc, a female is just asked general questions and are you pregnant? then you have an blood test, then you will have a chest xray, for women you have to take off your bra as it interferes with the machine you keep everything else on, but in skmc there is a little cupboard/room that you are shown to take it off...! men obviously dont have that problem. that is it.
