Ladies, does anyone here live in Al Muneera/ Al Zeina/ Al Bandar and wouldn't mind telling me how much I might expect to pay in district cooling costs for a 2BR flat? DH and I have just relocated to AD and are hoping to move out of the hotel ASAP. We like the feel of Al Raha beach, but I've heard a lot of negative reviews about the district cooling situation.

From reading other threads here, I understand that all of Al Raha's district cooling is handled by Dimarco and the charges are exorbitant -- up to dhs 2000/ month, though I don't know what size flat that person had. However, I have a colleague who lives in Al Muneera who said that his district cooling is done by Tabreed and he is currently paying about dhs 200/ month (which he says is very expensive... but much less so than dhs 2000/ month!).

We're hoping to go out tomorrow to see a few properties at both Al Muneera and Al Zeina, but we may skip it if district cooling charges are unreasonably high.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!! :)

200 per month is NOT expensive..... yes district cooling is usually more but it depends on usage... i have 3 "Boys" who like to have it on arctic setting when on, and usually our bills (usual addc) can be just over 1500 per month . it is what it is , now summer is here and no sch its on more.
