unless you have a planned induction or c-section, you may go past your due date (lots of factors therein, but very few babies are born on their due date). Labour lasts a long time, contractions tend to build up in frequency and intensity, so not likely full on labour all at once...(average for a first baby is 18 hours) and most likely you would have time to get to Dubai from AD.

Hi Does anybody have experience of giving birth in the Dubai city hospital (coming from Abu Dhabi)? I plan to as recommended by my gynae and was considering staying a week before (all being well) I just need to find out where we can rent a reasonably priced villa/get a good priced hotel!. Many thanks, all answers appreciated!
