but if you are not in uae and a space becomes available now until new academic year then you can take it, as people enrolled in uae schools now cannot switch they have to wait until new academic year to start, so you can q jump. they dont really like to allow kids to start in the summer term, but if you are an expat (ie not coming straight from uk etc) then you are used to the systems and they will allow it if there is space. people do up and leave at any time.

thanks for the offer blokkop but we will not need to move until the summer (July). Thanks for the info busybee2 watch out the prices are usually put up in the summer months for the newbies coming in for the next academic year... so its best to move a little bit before end of term if you can.

you would need to look at al reef but a 5 bed is 170k obviously you could get something in kca which is closer in for a compound smaller villa nearer the 150k mark, or look at kcb there are no shops or banks etc although same distance into town on a different road, but the houses are bigger for same or cheaper money.

Hi Ladies, It is likely that we are moving to AD in the next few months (it is becoming more and more of a reality). My kids are all young (4 under 5) and we have a Maid so it is a fairly large party! I recall someone once saying that there is a place close to AD (but not actually in AD) that has decent sized villas with Maids rooms at affordable prices (I am thinking no more than 130,000). Ideally I would like to be fairly close to decent schools and nurseries. I would really appreciate any advice thanks in advance!!!!
