Just had listing from movers...says all books DVDs etc must be looked at and may not allowed in if deemed not suitable. Is the same in Qatar in theory but in practice, everything seems to get theough no problem. So before I pack all my DVDs should I be worried?

So before I pack all my DVDs should I be worried? take them all out of their covers and put in a dvd holder etc, they arent usually too bothered about kiddies ones etc but they do censor differently here and if the cover looks dodgy they will take it.

Thanks Lulu and London Lady...that was what I did not want to hear. Have nothing dodgy...just normal films from us and uk plus boxed sets...buts loads of them as knew staying in ME they would be censored...am not willing to get them taken off me! Am now thinking of shipping back to UK....even thru qatar customs had no boxes opened. Ah well....such is life.:)

I had a small box with DVD's shipped from Bahrain to Dubai and everyone was confiscated - deemed unsuitable... Only Fools and Horses Box Set and The Tudors :-(

I guess it depends on what type of dvd's you have! We moved to AD from Doha last summer, and virtually EVERY box in our (large) shipment had been opened.
