Hi all,
Just bought some second hand furniture here in AD and need to get it picked up and brought to my home. Can anyone please recommend a good company to use?
Thanks xx

Dear aashwick, We're just doing some features on living in the not as well known places... if you'd like to give us some real person information on living in Ruwais that would be amazing. Please email [email protected] if you'd like to do this. Warm regards, EW Admin

Just signed up to this site but thought I'd post as we're in Ruwais (hubby has been here since June and the kids and I since September). Please don't let internet searches put you off. It most definitely is a lot quieter than Abu Dhabi but it's not the backwoods that certain searches may make you think it is! If you want any information, just give me a shout. x

I just contacted Mr Asif and he says that they do pick ups from AD and deliveries of furniture etc to Al Ruwais. Hurrah!! Thanks everyone. Wish me luck... !!

Thanks so much, everyone. Just found out that I will be moving out into the Wild West somewhere - most probably Ruwais. Do you think they will drive out there?

If you are inside the island go to the parking area beside central post (Madinet Zayed). For 100 you can hire a van with 2 men. I didn't use any but the guy who bought a bed from me once told me about it. However, you should know that those men only carry furniture, if you need someone to dismantle and assemble, you need to hire a carpenter as well.

Hi, there's a guy called Asif Rehman he has a small company and does this sort of thing, most work seems to be off island though, I know a lot of people in Al Reef who used him but would be worth a try even inf youre in the city. He has a facebook site, you can check out there, and his number is 0 5 0 6 1 3 2 8 9 8

the removal firms here wont really do a few pieces, you can go either to mussafah and hire a van and a driver, and then you hire as many "hands" as you think you will need, the place to go is after 2nd lights turn right, they all hang out there, if you are in town, then they hang out near to gold souq and opp wadha bus station. you have to haggle.
