Hi,
I wanted to know about Driving lessons and acquiring a License here, in Abu Dhabi. I have a valid license from India, but don't have much practice.. :(
Can someone help me with how I should go about in getting a license?
I have heard that its very difficult getting a license here..

Any help would be appreciated.

Nice.. I do have the receipt, I think I'll go and check soon.. Thanks once again. :) receipt is all you need, dont physically need the card as your apt to do fingerprints made take months to come around.

Great... Thanks busybee2 for the info.. :) Do I need to have my UAE ID to open the File? My UAE ID hasent come yet, so I suppose I need to wait till then..? Thanks again.. :) to do any traffic related things here in ad you are required to have your id card, that doesnt actually mean that need to produce the card, you can use your receipt, ie once you have been to typing and filled out the forms so that its on their database, thats all they need, is your receipt information etc. i would go and try, as with many things here in government depts sometimes one person will ask for it and sometimes not. but as long as you have the eida receipt all is good.

Thanks.. :) it can be you must contact and open a file at emirates driving school in mussafah they will tell you the process, they will assess how many lessons you need, there is a theory test to do as well. in the past you would be failed many many many times, its much better now but it can take a while.
