Hi All

I moved here about 2 weeks ago, and am living with a girl I knew from the UK. However, I dont want to depend on her for everything! So, can you let me know about meetups/coffee mornings etc so that I can start to get out from under her feet?! I was also thinking of taking up Salsa or something like that, is there anywhere that will tell me where classes are?

Also, I'm going to have to take a trip to Oman soonish and was thinking of flying.....the return flight is departing an hour after I land, does anyone know if thats enough time to go through passport control etc and then turn straight around, check in and fly back?

Sorry for all the questions!
Thanks

Hi, I just did the Oman trip (with Oman Air from Dubai)... Since your departure and return flights are on the same day, you should be able to get your return boarding pass at the same time as your departure one, so when you get to Muscat you can just go straight to the departure area without going through any additional checking in. HOWEVER the deplaning/boarding are done with buses, and the flights board quite early, so an hour may be too tight-- even a slight delay outbound could make you miss your flight back. Upon Oman Air's advice, I booked the flights with just over 3 hours in between (they suggested leaving 2 hours or more, and that's what was available). The airport isn't fantastic but there is a Costa Coffee with comfy armchairs-- bring a book! Hope this helps.
