Hi All
Has anyone got any suggestions on the best way to fly myself and 5 year old home to UK - but i will be returning 2 weeks earlier than her - she will fly back with my brother in law. She will be staying at Grandma's getting thoroughly spoilt, and be out of the heat for the summer. The problem is that Skyscnner wont let me book this as breaches their filters Any ideas?

In this case you will pay an adult fare[/i'>. I am happy to pay the adult fare as there really is not much of a difference TIA surely you have to put down the details as your passport etc

it's not illegal. if child would travel alone, airline would charge adult fare any way, because they will provide assistance to the child. what you need to do is to call airline and update passenger details (your daughter DOB). you will simply explain that your daughter won't be traveling alone in both ways. airline more than happy to charge you an adult fare and do not provide UMNR assistance. edited by irish259 on 23/06/2014

you need to make two bookings: one for yourself and another for your daughter, as you have different return day. if she is a minor (under 12), you won't be able to do in online, as system will recognise minor traveling alone. so you have two options: 1. make one booking for both with the same return date, then change your dd ticket (before you book, read the fare rules regarding date change, there are fees in many cases). 2. make separate booking for your daughter, but put DOB as she is over 12. In this case you will pay an adult fare. Otherwise you can go to the ticketing desk or call directly to the airline and make a booking with them, explaining that your daughter won't be travelling alone.
