Thanks Gals, for all the great advice on the various childcare options!
We've decided to go with the live-in option for our upcoming first born. Also would prefer someone in their later 30' - mid 40's, speaks english well, forthcoming with info & observant (not a "yes" person), have newborn care experience and genuine interest in taking care of children. Mother's helper duties would also be included such some chores and cooking. Having interviewed a few folks, we now have a sense of who we definitely want and who to stay clear from. Would prefer getting someone from a visa transfer - but also open to bringing someone well recommended from their home country. We're ready to begin the paperwork with the right person today.
