HI,
Anyone recommend an optician that is covered with Daman Premier Insurance? My glasses no longer sit on my face properly since my DD broke one of the arms off so I need a new pair ASAP!

Also, I am wanting to check my hormone levels / vit D levels etc as am so tired lately - is there anyone you would recommend? Perhaps in Al Noor Airport Road? A sympathetic doctor recommendation would be invaluable.

TIA Ladies

completely agree - they were very good at taking blood, I have 'good veins' but very painless, quick and lovely staff. I did end up waiting around for most of the morning as the lady who was meant to call me on my mobile for the doctor's appointment later admitted to me she dialed 050 rather than 055 so I never got her calls! Just made it in time to get my DS from school but all good and it was refreshing someone admitting their mistake - she was lovely too. On another note!! Who would you recommend for a dentist for adults? Thank you again x colum boyce at the british dental clinic on hamden. he is really good, my oldest boy terrifed of "men in white coats" and has a gag reflux he didnt even know that he had done an injection and he actually had fillings and root canal stuff done really good. the others in the clinic are good too, but i always go to Colum. Tell him that SueW recommended him and he should look after you.

London Diabetes Centre is covered by our insurance so going there - thank you v much they are very good at taking blood, i have a child that really doesnt like needles, they have to always dig deep to get anything out, bad veins, this being all the iv drips and stuff they did to him when he was born but they were very professional unlike one time at gdc, the nurse was a little perturbed when they stuck a needle into his arm and he dared to move.... yeh right as i said he doesnt like them and you have to hold him down...... and he thought that he was going to get an easy second attempt likely story.

thanks busybee2! Re: doc I want a blood test as i am excessively tired all the time and want to check iron and vit D levels... I have been to al Noor airport road for paed and opthalmic and it was great but not sure for General Medicine stuff.... Gulf Diagnostic was not great when I went for dermatologist. Do you mean the imperial college london Diabetic clinic? Is it the Al Noor in Khalifa st? I have looked at their directory and can't find Dr Mccollough... am I looking in the right place? Thanks heaps (esp for optician stuff) yep imperial college diabetic, they do a lot of lab/blood work, my son had thyroid tests there. old al noor is in khalifa st, which is where dr mcullough is. i think his number is 02 626 2677 he is actually in the residential bit of old al noor, you can valet park your car there too

glasses i use either pearl opticians in wadha mall or al jaber in ad mall but we dont know if they cover your insurance, some insurance does some doesnt. docs; new al noor been there in an emergency and they all seem ok, depending on what the prob is i go to dr mcullough in the old al noor . if your insurance covers the diabetic clinic that is where i would go. i wouldnt go anywhere that you need lab work at gulf diagnostic.
