Hi We are currently looking online at rental properties in AD in advance of our move in June. In terms of the property features, they never seem to mention whether the property has a security alarm. Therefore, I was wondering if rental properties tend to be alarmed as standard. If not, has anyone agreed with their landlord to pay for an alarm system to be installed? Thanks Maria you will see when you move here that the rental market here is very very different to the rest of the world. in answer to your questions, nope you dont need to have security alarms as its probably safer than uk, and no you wouldnt find that its standard, even commerical property dont have them, and nope no chance of getting any landlord of paying for something, its difficult enough getting them to pay up for things that are covered in the tenancy contract let alone anything "extra".
