Hi I just moved from the uk to abu dhabi and im 24. I've been here for two weeks. I moved here with my partner but we don't have any children. There does seem to be a lot of ladies nights going on but I haven't been to any yet as I'm a little nervous to go on my own. if u do move let me know and maybe we could go together. As for te job, move Dubai is so close that you can always visit I've been back and forth 4 times in the past week for job interviews. If u use the bus it's 15 dhs each way. Cheap!!!! Good luck.

I moved from Dubai last summer for a job I would have been silly to turn down. It is very different and I do miss Dubai a lot sometimes as I get bored in AD, but have met some good girlies here to go out for ladies nights with, and I have met a really lovely guy (didn't seem possible in Dubai!!!) and I do go back to Dubai regularly, so it's all good. If it is a good job that you really want, it will be worth the move as Dubai is only down the road if you miss it. Good luck and if you do end up in Abu Dhabs, give us a shout as there are a bunch of us who meet up for ladies nights regularly - singles, married no kids etc. (One good thing about AD is that there are way more ladies nights and you can go out any night of the week and find free drinks, haha :) )

Hi ladies, I've just got a good job offer in AD and am considering accepting it. I am currently living in Dubai and am a single 29 yr old woman. I am a little nervous about moving to AD because I understand it's very family oriented (no problem with that at all! It's just that I'm in a different place) and I really want to meet young, single, professionals like myself. Do you have any advice? Is it mostly families out there? Thank you
