I will really appreciate if you tell me is it possible to survive 2 adults + 4 years old kid in Abu Dhabi with a salary 6500 dollars and for accomodation 120k per year (planning to stay at Al Reef as the cheapest and the closest to the airport option)? the company will provide a car but no schooling :-((

It would be possible but, from my view point, very difficult. Education is extremely expensive. The accommodation seems expensive. From what country are you coming? What are you excepting? Everything is relative, isn't it! 120 accommodation is expensive, thats not bad. at least now you can find stuff for that price, many moons ago it was nearer the 200 mark.

6500 dollars with accommodation and car is a package of about +33000 AED. It is not only possible to survive, but to also live happily and send your child to an above average school.

We are moving from Doha. In Al Reef you can find 2-3 bedrooms villas for 100-110k so that's fine. At the end we have a choice to accept the offer or to search for another job.
