I know this thread belongs into the maids section, but unfortunately I have started a similiar thread there, but do not get the right information.
I am totally new to the maid-thing, have done researches, also on the website of AD government, but just do not find the information I need.
So please, if there is someone who has changed a visit visa from a Phillipina maid recently, please HELP !!!

How do I go about it if she is here on the visit visa? We live in Dubai but our residence visa is in AD. What steps do I need to take and what are the costs?
Also I would like to know if I need to deposit 2000 DHR or 5000 DHR. It is very confusing on the website as it also mentions 12 times the monthly salarly which would be much more !!! Will I definately get this money back one day?
Where do I get the contract issued and is it right that the minimum salary for Phillipinas is 1500 DHR? A lot of people told me to put only the minimum in the contract and pay her additional the agreed amount.

Any advice is very, very much appreciated.

Thanks very much in advance.

Is she on a 'visit visa' or a 'tourist visa'? Think the rules are different depending on which it is. Not sure if this applies to AD residents but I recently employed a Filipina on a tourist visa. Had to go to DNRD ( I went to Bin Sougat centre on Airport Road) to change it to an 'employment visa'. This required various documents, had to get typing done (which you can do there) and paid 2,000 deposit (which you should get back at the end of her contract) plus a couple of hundred for the typing. Then she had to fly to Kirsh to re-enter on the employment visa. This cost 700 and took an afternoon. Then she had the medical which was another few hundred and when the results came through went back to the DNRD to sign employment contracts and get labour card. Then pay 5,300ish I think which I believe you don't get back - that's just the government fees for employing someone. And that's it I think.
