Hi, I am currently in the same position and the situation doesn't look very promising. From what I understood so far: - Its much easier for a woman to sponsor their child/family in Dubai (so if you somehow can transfer your visa to Dubai, that would help) - In Abu Dhabi it all works on case by case basis and what can help you is - if you have some good connections. - It looks like we need a really good PRO who knows ways around it and knows the people

It will not be evident if you fall outside of the "allowed categories" My sister in law came to Abu Dhabi last September, she immediately had a job and visa, and started the visa procedure for her son right away after she had hers. She had sufficient income (they told her that minimum is 5.000 aed per month and her salary was 15.000 aed) but the problem was that she did not fall within those categories. She tried to apply for her sons visa twice (she is divorced), , but... she had to ring him back home because in January, the school told her they could no longer keep her son in school without visa. To avoid loosing the whole year, she brought the boy back to her parents and he enrolled asap in school there where he will now, hopefully, still manage to save the year. It has been a frustrating experience for all of us, I hope you are in a better position! It is true, they will look at this on a case to case basis, but it is not transparent what the real demands are for having a woman sponsor her child. Anyhow... we could not discover the "find print" anywhere!

what job do you do? only certain categories are allowed automatically, teacher doctor engineer lawyer etc and then there is a certain salary... as a woman you can only sponsor other dependants on a case by case basis if you do not fall into the exempted categories you will need to ask at immigration if that is allowed

Hi, I am a woman working for a company in Abu Dhabi. My husband is moving out of UAE to another country. So his residence will be cancelled. My kid and my maid are currently under my husband's sponsorship. I now need to bring them to my sponsorship. Can someone guide me with the procedure for women sponsoring dependents in UAE?
