Hoverbikes in Dubai: The New Technology From Dubai Police

In another step towards becoming the most tech-savvy police force ever, Dubai Police have recently shared a number of new gadgets, with one perhaps being the most impressive yet.

The new Dubai Police ‘hoverbike’ was unveiled this week at the 2017 edition of GITEX, and it’s both gob-smacking and awe-inspiring.

This flying hoverbike – yes, FLYING – is the latest addition to the service, which will be used for responding to emergency situations across Dubai.

It’s battery-powered, and will be able to fly up to five metres off the ground.

And did we mention it will be piloted by a Dubai Police officer?

In fact, the new hoverbikes – which are currently in testing phase – will be able to fly for up to 25 minutes, move up to 70 kph and carry up to 300kg of weight.

Watch it being tested in Dubai, here:

The Dubai Police hoverbike will also be able to fly without a pilot should it need to, and will be able to cover up to 6km in distance.
