Residents of Dubai might face some challenge when driving this weekend
Various roads around Dubai will be closed off this weekend as part of the Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge.
Thousands of participants and bikers will be taking part in this year challenge this Friday, December 14 around Dubai.
Almost 2,000 cyclists are expected to take part in the 9th edition of this cycling race that will see a monetary donation to al Jalila Foundation.
Where will it start?
The Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge will start at the Dubai Autodrome and will cross over several spots around Dubai, including Motor City, Dubai Sports City, Al Khail Road, Hessa Street and Remrann Street – then making its way back to the Dubai Autodrome.
Who will be effected?
Residents who live in or around those areas are likely to experience some traffic buildup and road closures.
Motorists coming into and out of Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Jumeirah Village Circle, Motor City, Dubai Sports city, Green Community, Remraam, Arabian Ranches 2 and The Villa are also likely to experience travel disruptions.
When will it start?
The annual cycling challenge will start early on in the morning from 5:30 am until 10 am on Friday, December 14.
Motorists are advised to find alternative routes within those hours.
