Moved back to Dubai after ten years away, and honestly, it’s been a bit of a letdown.
The city has changed a lot, not just the skyline, but the people too. The places I used to love are gone, and most of the familiar faces seem to have left. It feels glossier, more crowded, yet somehow emptier. I was really hoping to reconnect with other expats, but every attempt so far has been disheartening, even unsettling.
It’s as if the friendly, safe Dubai I once knew no longer exists.
Anyone else feeling this?
