Ladies, we are in a bit of a pickle (as I am sure many of you are). We have bought our villa in the amidst the height of times and now it is worth 50% less than before. however our mortgage has been going up every 3 months since the banks went to the new terms. I have called a company that few ladies recommended for remortgaging and pretty much can not do as the house is worth so little vs our mortgage is still more so they couldn't help me. Only suggested to hassle the bank. They hinted that letters wont help, so how do you hassle? I have read so many threads about this but has anyone actually hassled their banks and got a positive outcome? What is your story? I would be eager to hear and possible learn to deal with the bank. Hubby wont go with me as he usually flips out and gets very upset at their general nonchalant approach.

What bank are you with, and what new terms do you mean? It totally depends on the bank and it is better if your dh goes in as they take men more seriously here, but he would have to stay calm yet assertive and firm. You have to keep escalating as high up as you can and with perseverence you should be able to do something. If not you would have to sell at a loss and arrange terms to repay the balance?
