Hello,
My family and I are moving to Dubai in Jan 2024, we live in the states and I was just wondering if my 3.5 year old son will be needing the BCG vaccine in the uae for school? Here in America it is not required, I would rather not give it to him as the research for this vaccine isn’t the best at avoiding TB. But if it’s mandatory I would consider it but if it’s not a must I will not give it to him. We plan to live in the UAE for a year or two so I don’t know if it makes sense to give him a permanent scar for something that isn’t needed in the states.
He is up to date with every other vaccine.
