Be Careful - Maid Agency Fraud Detected
Hi Ladies,
I had posted an ad on expat woman to find a housemaid. A Bangalore based agent from India messaged me, Mr. Sasidharan Nair. He sent me many profiles. Told me there an agency fees for AED 2500 which I agreed to. He said they are a manpower supplying agency of Dubai. After I selected a maid, and asked for the interview. He says you need to pay AED 1750 as booking fees to his Indian Account. I discussed with my hubby and he warned me he seems like a fraud. But I somehow trusted him. I called him and he was always responsive. So we made the payment yesterday and he was to send the maid today for an interview, but the maid never turned up. the Agent blocked us out. His cell no was not accessible, WhatsApp was blocked too. I have already intimated Cyber Crime UAE as well and given all the details to them. Since money is involved I will be lodging a formal complaint with Dubai Police too. The reason I am warning you guys is since the agent got my no from EW. And may contact others too. So please be careful. Let me know if anyone else had a similar experience.
