bilkesh and associates - DU
We received a call last month from someone claiming to be from Bilkesh and associates. I was told that I owed DU 2300 AED and that they were now taking legal action. After going back and forth, they claim to be referring to an account that I had between 2007 and 2009. It was cancelled, I received my final settlement, moved on to another residence, set up a new account with du and went on with it. They claim that from 2009 to now, this bill of 54.00 AED has been accruing.
What I don't understand, is that they don't have any bills, any overdue notices that they claim I have been receiving or any other specific information. I went to DU and they have no idea.
Has anyone else received such a call - its a legitimate law firm so I would be skeptical if it were a skam but something isn't making sense. Of course, I can't find the settlement given it was 2 years ago and we've moved once more since...
