Hi,

I've seen a few posts on here about getting a newborn baby a British paasport whilst still in Dubai- lots were posted in 2014 when the passport office was backlogged with applications.

How long does it take to get a British passport for a new born?

I know somebody that applied for their newborn's passport in June of this year and it took about two weeks from when they sent off the application until the new passport was received. I did a standard renewal for my daughter earlier this year and it took about 11 days. If the case is straightforward then I don't think it takes very long, but don't hold me to that!
