Ha ha I am a teacher in one school system and he is a student in another and the term dates do not tally. I have spring break which is wonderful but would it would be great to be off at the same time as my son so he could have a fantastic holiday too. I am not worried about myself I can pass the days nicely by the pool with a book! I have always had other parents over the years stress about this and that is why it is Dubai's fault!!! Surely international schools could agree on when they have their spring break. It would make life easier for me and many others. So instead of him having the first two weeks off and me having the second two weeks off...would it not make more sense if all international schools had the 2nd and 3rd week of April off. it makes it tricky for his teachers too who have small children in nurseries.

I have often heard people upset about having different holidays to their children and now it has happened to me. My son has the first 2 weeks of April off and I have the second two weeks of April off. You just have to love the way this country works! So no family time for us and time to think of Plan B. But I don't want him hanging around the house all day on the computer or the wii with our homehelp all day for two weeks. I will end up with a son who has rectangular eyes and a house that looks like a bomb hit it. I have never sent him to a camp but it now it really seems like a good option. He is 8 and loves sport. Does anyone know of a good day camp and what prices are these camps or do I have to sell my kidney on Dubizzle to send him? Thanks
