I've tried searching everywhere but can't get a definitive answer! girls yes but boys no once they are 18 they have to be sponsored either by company working or in full time education, but now they are relaxing the rules that you can do part time work too

Kelly's right. Girls you can sponsor for residence visas at any age, boys from 18 you cannot. (As long as your daughters aren't married). Irresponsible if they are dependent on you or not. except if they're out of the country for more than 6 months they loose their residency status... and yes only for girls.
